Pantocure™ 20 Tablet: Each tablet contains Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate BP equivalent to Pantoprazole 20 mg.
Benign gastric ulcer, duodena l ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), NSAID-induced peptic ulcer, acid hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger - Ellison Syndrome, eradication of Helicobacter pylori (in combination with antibiotics), ulcer resistant to H2 receptor antagonists
For benign gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, the recommended dosage is 40 mg daily in the morning for 4 weeks, with the option to continue for an additional 4 weeks if the ulcer is not fully healed. In cases of NSAIDs induced peptic ulcer, a daily dosage of 20 mg is advised. For acid hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, the initial dose is 80 mg once daily, which can be adjusted based on the patient's response. However, for elderly patients, the maximum daily dose is 40 mg, and doses above 80 mg are divided into two administrations. The eradication of Helicobacter pylori requires 40 mg twice daily in combination with antibiotics. For ulcers resistant to H2 receptor antagonists, a maintenance therapy of 20 mg daily is recommended and can be increased to 40 mg daily if symptoms recur. Lastly, for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), the recommended daily dose ranges from 20 to 40 mg in the morning, and the treatment may continue for an additional 4 weeks if necessary to achieve full healing.
